NPT homes has been present for 4 years into its Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS) programme. This organization is underway towards bringing its housing stock up to WHQS by April 2017. The spendings are £90m.
In October 2011, NPT Homes began introducing six year improvement programme. Four years in and thousands of its participants have got benefits from great improvements to their homes and local communities.
Due to NPT Homes’ programme, over £90m has been invested in the local community. The funds were spent on 5,897 new kitchens, 5,422 new bathrooms, 3,613 rewires and 4,634 new heating systems in Neath Port Talbot.
NPT Homes has also held 58% of its planned roof replacements, 84% of its window and door installations and 47% of its external wall insulation and realize working acivities.
Last year saw NPT Homes to extend its WHQS programme to its hidden patterns. Additionally to the kitchen, bathroom and heating upgrades, work in each of the scheduled patterns includes remodelling communal areas and specific accommodation to meet the complex needs of its tenants of property.
Supporting the RNIB, NPT Homes has also been collaborating with tenants of properties and contractors to guarantee the improvements meet RNIB’s Visibly Better Standard. This contains contrasting worktops, flooring and internal decoration which assists to allow those with visual impairments to live as independent as possible in their new homes.
The programme for Neath Port Talbot homes works with other constructions such as fences and boundary walls are introduced, the high level of workmanship and customer satisfaction remain high.
