How we can help you
The Volunteer Centre can provide:-

- Guidance

Information, advice and guidance on all aspects of volunteering for both volunteers and recruiting organisations.
For information on volunteering good practice see information sheets 4.1 to 4.20.
We can recruit volunteers for you if you are a not for profit organisation or a registered charity. We just ask that you complete our registration form to provide us with information about your organisation and a description of what voluntary opportunities that you have we will then be able to advertise your opportunities through the Volunteer Centre and www.volunteering-wales.net
The Volunteer Centre do not vet potential volunteers and do not take up references or Criminal Record Checks. Organisations need to have relevant insurance in place for their volunteers.
Volunteer Managers Peer Support Group
Neath Port Talbot CVS facilitate a Volunteer Managers Peer Support Group that meets quarterly. They provide a good opportunity for networking and information from a range of guest speakers.

Training
Neath Port Talbot CVS provide training for Volunteer Managers on a range of issues including recruitment and retention of volunteers, volunteers and the law and how to manage difficult situations. Please contact us for further information please contact us at the Volunteer Centre 01639 631387.
Funding
NPT Youth Fund
NPT Youth Fund is open to applications from groups or individuals aged between 14-25 living in Neath Port Talbot. The activity must benefit your community, allow young people to volunteer and provide new skills or experiences. Applications can be made for between £50 – £500.
The deadlines for 2013/2014 have been set as Friday 31st May and Friday 27th September. There will also be a deadline of Friday 31st January if there is money left over from the previous rounds.

GwirVol grants
The aim of the GwirVol Youth Volunteering Grants scheme is to support the delivery of a wide range of new volunteering opportunities in Wales and overseas that will support the step change in access to volunteering for young people aged 14-25 and especially for disadvantaged young people. The GwirVol grant scheme offers three different strands of funding:-
- Creating Opportunities
- Millennium Volunteers
- International
