Young Opportunities Bank (Y.O.B)

What is the Y.O.B?

It’s a group of young people who volunteer for a very important role, awarding grants of money to young people’s projects in Neath Port Talbot. The panel is run by young people, for young people and has the power to award £50-500 per project!

Young people who volunteer with the panel have the chance to get involved in all sorts of different activities, from training days and designing a logo for the project!

The Youth Opportunities Bank have a new website! Please go to www.youthbank.co.cc for more information.

When we meet

Volunteering for the youth grants panel doesn’t have to take up a lot of your time, the panel meet twice a year to make decisions about young people applications. We keep in touch by email and post and meet up occasionally to make plans, catch up on all the news and get fed!

Put your money where your mouth is!

The Y.O.B are always looking for new young people with new ideas to give money to! Your idea can be anything young people can take part in, for example arts and crafts, sport, leisure, training, workshops, a trip or an event. You could also fill out an application form for equipment you may need to run these activities, for example: a pool table, musical instruments, transport, accommodation or money to hire a venue.
