Projects Funded
- Neath Boys and Girls Club received £425.76 for football training equipment. The equipment will allow a number of young people to continue coaching and to assist them in progressing in their coaching qualifications. The training equipment will also attract many children and young people to the club and into playing football.
- Clarewood have been awarded £500 towards a greenhouse and various pieces of gardening equipment and seeds. This will allow the residents in Clarewood to begin growing their fruit and vegetables and allow other members of the community to access the project.
- £224.94 has been awarded to SNAC. SNAC have a number of young people who volunteer, this money is for a table tennis table which will increase the number of activities available to the young people who use the service and ensure the young people who volunteer have equipment available in order to entertain the children and young people who attend the club.
- £305 has been awarded to Port Talbot Air Cadets. The grant provided has funded a family manikin set to allow the cadets to practice first aid, receive qualifications and then utilise their first aid skills during community events.
- Afan FM have received £499 for a portable PA system. This equipment will assist Afan FM during community events, allowing their young volunteer presenters to be heard at the venue where they are broadcasting live.
- Neath Port Talbot Tigers have been funded a total of £260. Neath Port Talbot Tigers is a club run and managed by volunteers for the enrichment of the community through sporting activities and social events. The Members represent a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds and faiths including Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Vietnamese, Turkish, Irish, English, Welsh, Scottish, Afro Caribbean, Muslim, Sikh and Christian, the money used will help the tigers hold regular meetings allowing the Tigers to sustain their current activities and grow in the future.
