Volunteering Schemes

Supported Volunteering Project

The Supported Volunteering Project offers support to individuals who would like to volunteer but do not feel they have the ability to do so independently. There are currently opportunities within the Project for mentors to support the individual whilst they volunteer. Mentors must:

  • Be economically inactive or are employed less than 16 hours a week
  • Have a genuine interest in supporting others to gain more independence
  • Be non-judgemental and approachable

The Supporting Families Project

The Supporting Families Project offers a confidential and non-judgemental service to families with children aged 0-5 years old, who feel that they need some extra support. Our volunteers can:

  • Offer practical help, advice and support
  • Sign post families to other services
  • Take the children out to give parents some time to themselves
  • Listen to parents who need someone to talk to

There are currently volunteering opportunities with the Project.
