Volunteer Opportunities for Young People

Stonewall Cymru

Stonewall Cymru is currently setting up the Youth Anti-Homophobic Bullying Advocates programme which is about getting young people together in their own local areas across Wales to design their own campaigns to tackle homophobic bullying in schools. The role could involve talking to local education authorities about real life experiences, short plays, presentations, poster campaigns, or influencing school policies/setting up anti-homophobic bullying groups within schools. Stonewall Cymru are also looking for local appropriate adult mentors to help develop the campaign and support the young people on a more day-to-day basis. Stonewall Cymru will support the young people and adult mentor throughout to ensure an effective programme. Remember you don’t have to be LGB, just passionate about challenging homophobic bullying!
