NewLink Wales’ upcoming training course ‘Substance Misuse Awareness Level One’

Newlink Wales has been delivering substance misuse awareness training for over 13 years, all our trainers are experienced professionals who have worked in the substance misuse field.

Substance Misuse Awareness Level 1 – 6th & 7th December 2011

VOLUNTARY SECTOR WORKERS- £140.00

STATUTORY SECTOR WORKERS – £150.00

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the course participants should be able to:

• Define the most commonly used categories of substances and their effects

• Identify the most commonly used substances and their methods of use

• Discuss the different patterns of substance use

• Examine the impact that different attitudes and stereotyping has on individuals who use substances

• Select appropriate treatment and support models for substance users

• Determine the ethical complications in the workplace and how to address them
