The Guardian Social Enterprise Award

The Guardian has launched a new award just for social enterprises. The awards seek out the UK’s most promising social enterprises who look set to make a big impact. The Guardian will award four outstanding finalists by showcasing the winning ideas at the Guardian Social Enterprise 2011 summit, where delegates will vote for the overall winner.

Bates Wells & Braithwaite London LLP is delighted to be involved and will be represented on the judging panel.

The deadline for entries is 11.59 on Friday 14 October 2011 and the competition results will be announced at The Guardian’s annual summit on the 8th November 2011.

Collaborative Communities – Securing a Sustainable Future for Third Sector Organisations & Social Enterprises.

Our region has a flourishing Third Sector which contributes to our vibrant communities. We aim to secure its future through an exciting new programme of support to create sustainable organisations. Carmarthenshire County Council has joined together with the County Councils in Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea and the County Voluntary Councils in Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea to form a unique partnership to combine resources for the success of the project. For more information go to the newly launched Collaborative Communities website
