Third Sector Health, Social Care and Wellbeing Strategy

Neath Port Talbot has a relatively poor health profile and has some of the worst determinants of health in Wales. Within NPT we have high levels of chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, respiratory disorders and stroke. The Welsh Health Survey shows that NPT residents make poor lifestyle choice with the majority of health indicators for NPT being worse than the Welsh average.

This is the third Health Social Care and Wellbeing Needs Assessment, which aims to build on the previous needs assessments by providing an update on the indicators of health, social care and wellbeing.
