Twelve years ago, Community Housing Cymru set up an Award scheme to recognise housing innovation in memory of a special person – Pat Chown. Pat gave a big part of her life to helping others and spent much of her working life in helping to meet people’s housing needs in Wales. As a way of remembering Pat, her contribution to housing and her constant search for better ways of doing things, Community Housing Cymru is inviting entries for the Capturing Creativity Award.

The Award’s aim is to recognise innovation:

New ways of responding to day-to-day issues.

Genuinely new ideas about dealing with common problems.

A much easier way of tackling a long-standing issue.

The Award judges will be looking for entries which demonstrate that the project has been ground-breaking. Entries should be projects that were established no more than 2 years ago.

See flyer for further information.

Entry Form

They have just 4 weeks to pull out all the stops and seize this opportunity to make a real difference.

They have set themselves the target of 3,000 signatures for the Rule Out Abuse Charter by World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, 15th June 2012.

Since the campaign launched in November, over 2500 people have signed Age Cymru’s Rule Out Abuse charter and they are incredibly close to reaching their goal.

But they are not quite there yet – they really need your help to make this campaign a success.

Please sign the Rule Out Abuse charter here, and ask as many people as you can to do the same.

If you require any further information or materials, please contact Rhea at Age Cymru at rhea.stevens@agecymru.org.uk
