Fairbridge Swansea Goodbye Event

Fairbridge Swansea has asked if we could insert the following note on their behalf:

Fairbridge Swansea will be closing its doors on 30th June after nearly four years based in Swansea working with some of the hardest to reach young people and helping them to turn their lives around. Despite a proud record of success that has seen over 80% progress with a positive outcome, the Centre will sadly be shutting at the end of June.

To mark the end of the project, we are holding a special event in the Taliesin Arts Centre on the afternoon of Monday 8th June. We will be showing films that depict the work that Fairbridge has done, celebrates the achievement of young people who we have worked with and also we will be showing the award-winning film by Fairbridge young people from Swansea that was shown in April at the IMAX Cinema in London. The event is scheduled to last from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

We would very much like to have as many people there as possible – this is genuinely your last chance to see the work of Fairbridge in Swansea and it would be a fitting way to say goodbye and also for us to thank all of you for your support over the years. Obviously this has been a sad time for all staff involved, but we would like the chance to mark the end of the project in style! We hope you can join us.

However, given the nature of the event, we do need to know numbers in advance so, if you are interested in attending, please RSVP to david.heald@fairbridge.org.uk or 01792 476308, so we know who will be there.
